Maintenance Tips
Simple steps to keep your heating system running efficiently
Check Boiler Pressure Monthly
Your boiler pressure should be between 1 and 1.5 bar when cold. Low pressure can cause efficiency issues.
Bleed Radiators Annually
Air trapped in radiators reduces heating efficiency. Bleed them at the start of heating season.
Keep Vents Clear
Ensure boiler vents and flues are clear of obstructions for safe operation.
Test Carbon Monoxide Detector
Press the test button monthly to ensure your CO detector is working properly.
Insulate Pipes in Winter
Prevent frozen pipes by insulating exposed pipes in cold areas like lofts and garages.
Book Annual Service
Schedule your boiler service before winter to ensure reliable heating when you need it most.
